Asset Reporting & Certification
At IT Hub & Recycling London, we ensure that every step of your IT equipment recycling process is tracked, secure, and transparent. For each scheduled collection, a unique job code is generated at the time of booking, ensuring traceability from start to finish. On the designated date, one of our trained drivers will arrive at your premises in a GPS-tracked vehicle, ready to count and uplift all hardware designated for recycling.
Each equipment count is recorded on a Waste Transfer & Duty of Care Note, which is handed to you for your records. This document contains clear instructions on how to access your Asset Report and Certificates of Data Destruction through our dedicated Client Portal, ensuring full visibility throughout the process.
Once your equipment arrives at our secure facility, it is quarantined and assigned to a dedicated technician. The technician will:
- Record and test all equipment, logging details such as make, model, and serial numbers for PCs, laptops, servers, and all hard drives or solid-state drives (SSDs).
- Link this data to your unique job code, ensuring traceability.
In our secure Data Destruction area, accessible only to authorized personnel, devices undergo HMG IS5 destruction—a government-certified standard. Once data destruction is completed, we issue serial-number-tied destruction certificates for each hard drive and SSD. These certificates are automatically embedded into your Asset Report for ease of access and compliance tracking.
Key Features of Our Asset Reporting Process:
- Full Traceability: Every device is linked to a unique job code from collection to destruction.
- Real-Time Updates: Access your Asset Reports and Data Destruction Certificates anytime through our Client Portal.
- Certified Data Destruction: We comply with HMG IS5 standards, ensuring complete and secure destruction of your data.

After each collection, you can download your Asset Report from our Client Portal, complete with destruction certificates. This report offers detailed documentation of all devices collected, their status, and proof of secure data destruction, making it an essential document for audits and compliance.
